Tyler Perry lists Beverly Hills estate for $57M as ambitions to move to Puerto Rico grow

The acclaimed filmmaker has also listed a property he owns in Wyoming for sale for $39.5 million, bringing the combined total of properties Perry is looking to sell to over $96 million.

Weeks after publicly revealing he was planning to move to Puerto Rico at the top of 2027, Tyler Perry is making a very expensive move regarding one of his properties.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the filmmaker and producer is listing his Beverly Hills mansion for $57 million. It’s the second property he’s put on the market this year, as his Jackson Hole, Wyoming, property is also currently up for sale. In total, both properties are reportedly worth $96.5 million.

Perry originally purchased the land in 2004 for $4.3 million before completing the mansion in 2012. The property spans 22.5 acres within the gated Beverly Ridge Estates community, with the crown jewel being the 24,500-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion. Inside, the home has eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a library, a private screening room, a bar and multiple entertaining spaces. The home is also outfitted with a pool, a separate guesthouse and quarters for the staff.

Over the years, the Beverly Hills mansion has been a welcoming venue for notable celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey and former President Barack Obama. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once called the property home following their split from royal duties. The couple stayed at the home in 2020 after relocating from the United Kingdom, and Perry provided the family with security.

During a September 14 interview in promotion of his latest film, “Why Did I Get Married Again?” Perry told Justin Sylvester of “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle” that it was time to pull back from working, citing his commitment to his son.

“Yep, moving to Puerto Rico at the top of the year, and I’m pulling back a whole lot,” Perry told Sylvester, who questioned if the media mogul would ever take a break. “It’s time to slow down a bit, enjoy more time with my son and just take it all in.”

Despite listing both his Beverley Hills and Wyoming properties, Perry is reportedly keeping his lavish Atlanta mansion and Tyler Perry Studios, the gigantic 330-acre production studio on a former Army base.
