Toni Braxton celebrates 2 years of marriage to Birdman with rare wedding photos

The singer offered fans another glimpse of her private 2024 wedding as she and Birdman marked their second anniversary.

Toni Braxton is celebrating two years of marriage to Birdman by sharing a few rare photos from their private wedding. The milestone comes after she previously gushed about their first anniversary and after their secret marriage became public following a divorce filing she later dismissed. Toni Braxton and Birdman quietly tied the knot on Aug. 8, 2024.

Braxton marked the anniversary on Instagram on Saturday, Aug. 8, posting two solo images of herself in her wedding gown.

“Celebrating two years of bliss. Happy Anniversary,” she wrote.

The 58-year-old singer did not include Birdman, 57, in the anniversary photos. Instead, the images showed Braxton in a sparkling bridal gown decorated with floral and sequin details, along with a veil, diamond earrings and a large diamond ring.

The anniversary comes after an eventful first year of marriage for the longtime couple. Court documents made public in 2025 revealed that Braxton had filed for divorce two weeks after the wedding and listed Aug. 10, 2024, just two days after the ceremony, as their date of separation.

She later dismissed the divorce petition, with Birdman signing off on the paperwork, leaving the pair legally married.

Braxton and Birdman had already known each other for decades before their friendship turned romantic. They began dating publicly in 2016 and announced their engagement in 2018. Their relationship later appeared to go through several stops and starts, including Braxton declaring in December 2023 that they were both single.

By October 2025, however, Braxton was speaking warmly about the marriage. During an appearance on “TODAY with Jenna & Friends,” she said she and Birdman had been friends for more than 25 years before their relationship became romantic and described the two of them as “peas and carrots.”

Two years after their secret wedding, Toni Braxton and Birdman appear to be firmly together, with Braxton using the anniversary to offer fans another rare glimpse into the ceremony they initially kept private.
