Virginia Beach is paying tribute to one of its hometown heroes, GRAMMY Award-winning producer Timbaland.

The music mogul, who is being celebrated for his work with Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, and countless others, will soon have a street named in his honor. 

The city will unveil “Timbaland Way” during a special celebration weekend, set for October 17–19, to recognize his innovation, creativity, and global impact on music.

Timbaland’s legacy includes producing era-defining projects such as ‘Supa Dupa Fly’ and ‘The Bachelor, ‘ the project featuring Ginuwine’s classic hit ‘Pony.’

This recognition also follows fellow Virginian and longtime collaborator Elliott, who received her own street naming in her hometown of Portsmouth. Together, their honors shine a spotlight on Virginia’s contributions to the music scene.
