The UK shows drew more than 450,000 fans, with ticket buyers traveling from nearly 150 countries. Across seven performances, more than $350,000 was raised for the United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen.
The funds support the XO Humanitarian Fund, which assists the WFP’s response to the global hunger crisis. As part of the initiative, one euro from each European ticket and one pound from every UK ticket is donated to the organizations.
Fans can also earn free tickets by taking action through Global Citizen’s platform in support of efforts to end extreme poverty.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan hailed the Canadian star’s impact on the capital, saying:
“London has been hugely proud to welcome The Weeknd for more shows than any other city in the world this year. His five performances have brought hundreds of thousands of fans to Wembley Stadium, providing a huge boost to our tourism and hospitality industries.”
The milestone comes as the ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ continues its history-making trajectory. The global trek has now surpassed $1 billion in gross revenue and sold more than 7.5 million tickets across 153 shows, making it the highest-grossing tour ever by a male solo artist.
Next up, the European leg continues in Dublin this weekend.
