The news brings an end to weeks of speculation surrounding the future of the talk show and its host, whose contract was widely believed to expire at the end of the season.
According to Deadline, the decision was first shared internally with staff and crew, confirming that the show will not continue with a new host. Instead, production will wrap entirely once season 7 completes its run.
The move follows a particularly heavy year for the GRAMMY winner.
Last spring, she stepped away from the show for a period to be with her children while their father was undergoing cancer treatment. He died away in August, a loss that deeply reshaped priorities behind the scenes.
Speaking on the news, Clarkson said:
“This was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
Season 7 will continue production as planned, with episodes set to air through Fall 2026. Guest hosts will step in on select dates, but Clarkson will remain at the helm through the final stretch.
The series debuted in 2019 and quickly became a staple in the notoriously hard-to-break daytime landscape. The show earned 24 Daytime Emmy Awards and maintained a dominant digital presence across social platforms with segments such as ‘Kellyoke.’
