‘Sports Car‘ hitmaker Tate McRae may have seen her name driven to the top of fan lists for hopefuls to portray Britney Spears in the Pop diva’s forthcoming big-screen biopic, but – if her recent comments to ‘Rolling Stone‘ are any indication – she doesn’t seem to share their confidence.

Acting as the cover girl for the mag’s latest issue, McRae scorched the pages of ‘Rolling Stone‘ with a sizzling photo shoot to accompany an equally eye-popping set of quotes.

When not dishing on how great her year was (see: her first #1 album on the Billboard 200, first #1 single on the Hot 100, multiple Platinum plaques from the RIAA, and more), the 22-year-old chatted about the controversy surrounding her duet with Morgan Wallen and so much more.

An easy standout among her quotes came courtesy of conversation around rumors of her vying for the role of Britney in the forthcoming biographical film about the Pop Princess.

“I don’t really act. I need to take an acting lesson before you consider ever doing anything. I also feel like I look nothing like her, and sound nothing like her. So I don’t know if I’d be a great fit,” McRae shared.

And while the statement wasn’t exactly denying rumors she’s gearing up for the job, it certainly suggests fans should consider her out of the running.
