When it comes to video game royalty, few franchises boast the cultural impact of ‘Street Fighter.’

So, bringing three of its most recognizable characters to life comes with considerable expectations.

Set in 1993, the movie sees estranged fighters Ryu and Ken drawn back into battle when Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. However, there’s more to the showdown than meets the eye.

And the commitment to doing the source material justice is no joke.

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the action-packed production also features 50 Cent as Balrog, Roman Reigns as Akuma, and Jason Momoa as Blanka.

With the franchise’s signature fighting moves and larger-than-life personalities in tow, this latest incarnation is looking to pack quite the punch.

‘Street Fighter’ hits theaters worldwide on October 16.
