Nivea is sharing an emotional update on her health journey.

The R&B singer revealed she is in remission after being diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) earlier this year.

During an appearance on ‘The Tamron Hall Show‘ Wednesday (October 7), the 44-year-old singer became emotional, saying:

“I’m very grateful.” 

Admitting she “couldn’t believe” the update given how recently she received her diagnosis.

The ‘Laundromat‘ singer previously revealed her cancer diagnosis in July, explaining that she had undergone two bone marrow biopsies before receiving confirmation of CML.

While discussing her treatment, Nivea said medication has been working but has brought a number of side effects, including fatigue and bleeding. She also revealed she is dealing with fibroids.

Despite the challenges, the mother of four said she remains focused on taking life “day by day.”

Nivea has continued making music, raising her children, and learning new skills through her treatment, while expressing gratitude for the love and prayers she has received.
