Nearly eight years separate fans of Christina Aguilera (affectionately called #Fighters) from her last English-language studio album ‘Liberation,’ but – after ample teasing – the Pop veteran is gearing up to lift the lid on what’s believed to be the first taste of new music from its follow-up.

Not even three months after confirming her next studio effort and an accompanying biographical documentary were in the works, Xtina stunned her followers on social media Wednesday (March 4) with a cryptic teaser.

“Loading…,” the 45-year-old posted to her 25 million followers on Facebook.

Her 10 million followers on Instagram were treated to a separate set of glossy photos (seen below), sending them into a frenzy in the pics’ comments.

At writing, Aguilera has not confirmed what larger project the teases are attached to but her management team at Roc Nation even shared the snaps – further stoking fans that a major announcement is coming.

As avid followers of Xtina, we can only hope it’s the long-awaited follow-up to ‘Liberation.’

Until such official news is dropped, however, tell us…
