After announcing the end of their relationship in a candid statement, the actress and singer followed up with a raw, since-deleted video in which she spoke about what she says she endured privately and declared that the rapper treated her like a “piece of sh*t.”

The ‘Empire’ star announced the breakup on Instagram, revealing that she had made the “difficult decision” to end both her engagement and relationship with the father of her son.
Most notably, the 31-year-old alleged that infidelity had been an ongoing issue.
“Unfortunately, I also had to face a painful truth: there had been repeated infidelity throughout our relationship, including during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of my life.”
She continued with a message about trusting one’s instincts and refusing to lose oneself in a relationship:
“If your intuition is telling you something is wrong, listen to it.”
“Don’t make yourself smaller to keep someone else comfortable. Don’t compromise your values because you’re afraid of losing the future you imagined.”
“Love should not require you to abandon yourself.”
The statement was followed by an even more unfiltered video, in which Serayah spoke directly about her experience with Joey and summed up how she felt she had been treated:
“He treated me like a piece of sh*t.”
The breakup comes just over a year after the couple welcomed their son. Their pregnancy was confirmed in February 2025, while their engagement became public months later.
Despite the pointed allegations, the star stressed that protecting their child remains her priority and said she does not intend to publicly unpack the relationship further.
“I will always respect the fact that we share a beautiful son, and my priority will be protecting his peace, privacy and relationship with both of his parents.”
As of publication, Joey has not publicly addressed Serayah’s allegations.
