Before Wednesday (May 20), Rihanna, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift were the only music divas who could boast having 40 or more Platinum singles in the 73-year history of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

That changed recently, however, after the exclusive female hitmaker club saw an addition in the form of GRAMMY-winning songstress Ariana Grande.

As Ari prepares her dedicated fans (affectionately called #Arianators) for the May 29 release of her new single ‘Hate That I Made You Love Me‘ and the July 31 unveiling of its parent album ‘Petal,’ the Pop diva’s learned some of her most beloved hits have sprouted new certifications at the RIAA.

Thanks to the list above, Ariana’s career count of Platinum hits has been upped to 45 – a historic feat that puts her in the company of Beyonce (53), Rihanna (49), and Swift (49) as the only female singers to boast having as many or more.

Among all artists, Drake holds the record for most Platinum songs (85).

What’s more, the list above also lifts Grande’s cumulative count of Gold-certified songs to 53 – a sum that attaches her name to Bey (82), Tay (70), and Rih (58) on the countdown of women with the highest number of tunes in the same certification category.

Collectively, Ariana’s certified Stateside single sales total now sits at 137 million, making her one of the best-selling female artists in digital music history.

Among all female acts, only Rihanna (200.5 million), Beyonce (161.5 million), and Taylor Swift (137.5 million) have sold more.

When all artists are considered, Drake reigns at #1 with 277.5 million singles sold in the USA.
