Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are heading back across the pond for a major new chapter with their family.

Six years after stepping away from life as working royals and establishing a home in California, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to once again make Britain a home base alongside Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

According to PEOPLE, the family will relocate to the UK for an extended period beginning this month, with Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, set to start school in Britain in September.

Their new residence will be a private, non-royal home base, while the couple will retain their properties in Montecito, California, and Portugal.

The development comes after years of highly publicized tension with the Royal Family following the Sussexes’ 2020 exit, their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, and Harry’s memoir ‘Spare.’

However, word is that relations with King Charles III appear to be warming. The monarch reportedly learned of the move on August 16 and is said to welcome the opportunity to spend more private time with the family. Harry and Meghan will not resume official royal duties.

The return also follows a recent family visit to Britain, during which Archie and Lilibet reunited with their grandfather after more than four years apart. The youngsters have largely been raised away from the royal spotlight, with Meghan occasionally offering rare glimpses into family life.

For Harry, the UK base will also allow him to spend more time supporting his British charities and the Invictus community, while Meghan is expected to continue overseeing her ‘As Ever’ business internationally.
