Summer Walker is turning up the heat on her record label drama.

Fresh from her explosive $50 million legal showdown with Interscope Records, the R&B star has been revealed to be waging a separate court battle against longtime label and management company LVRN (Love Renaissance).

And this time, it’s Walker who is accusing the company of financial wrongdoing.

According to Billboard, a lawsuit filed by Walker in August accuses LVRN of fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty.

The singer alleges that the company improperly pocketed funds connected to her recordings, tours, marketing, and merchandise, while charging operating expenses to budgets intended for her career.

Among the more striking allegations, Walker claims she received no share of certain Amazon merchandise sales featuring her name and likeness. She also alleges that LVRN operated a YouTube channel on her behalf without her knowledge.

The dispute traces back to her 2017 deal, which she claims granted LVRN unusually extensive control over her career without her receiving independent legal advice before signing.

In the complaint, Walker alleges:

“Plaintiff is informed and believes that Defendant has misappropriated a significant amount of monies that were otherwise due to Plaintiff under the recording agreement.”

She is seeking to void the agreement and recover unspecified damages. LVRN has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.

The revelation adds another layer to Walker’s ongoing $50 million dispute with Interscope, which alleges she has failed to deliver two albums under her recording contract.

As reported, the songbird has vowed to fight those claims and pursue legal action of her own.

Now facing two separate battles involving the companies behind her rise to R&B superstardom, Walker’s push for contractual freedom is becoming increasingly complicated.
