Kehlani has shared some of the biggest songs she passed up and the regret, or lack thereof, that she felt.

The R&B songstress, who already has hits with ‘Folded’ and ‘Distraction’, recently took over the streaming world for a quick minute with an IRL stream alongside content creator Jordyn Lucas. During the livestream, Kehlani shared that she passed up two songs that would eventually become mega-hits.

The songs were ‘Boo’d Up’ by Ella Mai in 2017 and the pop classic ‘The Middle’ by Grey, Maren Morris, and Zedd, both major hits.

Even knowing how successful the songs would become, Kehlani has no regrets. She also noted that ‘Boo’d Up’ was Ella Mai’s song and that her version wouldn’t have hit the same.

She shared:

“I am a big believer that songs go where they’re supposed to go.”

“Whoever hit it ends up being that was their hit.”

Now, speaking of hits, Kehlani recently wrapped the North American leg of her tour, where she performed nothing but her chart-toppers. She will continue the tour with upcoming dates in South Africa and Australia.
