Nicki Minaj for White House press secretary? Donald Trump has now responded to the suggestion himself.

The President called it a good idea during an interview, although the exchange stopped short of announcing a job offer or appointment for the Rap superstar.

The new comments follow Minaj’s October 25 appearance alongside Trump at a Michigan rally and a White House staff suggestion that she could take the briefing-room role.

In an excerpt from ‘The Benny Show,’ Trump was asked whether the femcee would become his next press secretary. He replied:

“That’s a good idea. I think I’ll have to think about that.”

He then suggested the interviewer could also be suitable, per TMZ.

Minaj’s public connection with the administration already extends beyond campaign appearances. She serves as a celebrity judge on ‘Million Dollar Pitch’, the small-business competition whose premiere featured another warm greeting from Trump.

For now, the interview adds the President’s own response to the chatter. It does not establish that Minaj has been formally offered the position or accepted it.
