‘Michael 2‘ won’t be the only Michael Jackson movie having fans glued to screens in 2027.

Nearly 35 years after changing the look and feel of Super Bowl haltime shows permanently, the King of Pop’s groundbreaking 1993 edition of the spectacle will be chronicled in a new documentary slated for release next year.

Scheduled to drop on ESPN and Hulu in February 2027, ‘Spectacle: Michael Jackson at the Super Bowl‘ will give an in-depth look into the music monarch’s preparation for his first-ever tackle of the big game.

Boasting a setlist of some of MJ’s most iconic songs including ‘Billie Jean,’ ‘Heal the World,’ ‘Black or White,’ and more, the explosive performance is not only hailed by many the greatest halftime show ever produced but also the game-changing standard for all that followed.

Directed and produced by Bao Nguyen (who is also responsible for the critically acclaimed ‘We Are the World’ documentary ‘The Greatest Night in Pop‘), ‘Spectacle’ will house unearthed interviews with crew and planners alongside other never-before-seen video footage that chronicled the magic that went into how Jackson catapulted the Super Bowl halftime show into the Pop stratosphere.

Details about the trailer and official release date are forthcoming.
