With its #95 premiere on the updated Hot 100, ‘Type Dangerous‘ marks Mariah’s 50th appearance on the all-genre chart over her illustrious career.

Here are the numbers that powered the placement:

• Streaming = 2.5 million U.S.-based streams
• Sales = 5,000 digital downloads
• Radio airplay = 14.7 million audience impressions

Released June 6 as the lead single from her forthcoming 16th studio album, the Anderson. Paak-produced bop saw its already amplified profile raised even higher after the diva rocked the BET Awards with the tune’s premiere live performance.

Bolstered primarily by radio airplay and sales, the chart performance of ‘Type’ is only expected to improve in the coming weeks thanks to heightened awareness raised by its eye-popping music video directed by Joseph Kahn (released June 14).

Her first non-holiday title to impact the Billboard Hot 100 since the YG-assisted ‘I Don’t‘ peaked at #89 in 2017, it’s also her first unaccompanied appearance on the tally since 2015’s ‘Infinity‘ soared to #82 in May 2015.
