Artist Rief Rawyal insists Uzi’s 2022 smash ‘Just Wanna Rock’ heavily mirrors his August 2022 track ‘Pain and Pleasure.’ A forensic musicologist reportedly found a 93-97% similarity between the songs, noting shared tempo, rhythmic patterns, chant stylings, and parallel lyrics ending in “rock.” Rawyal also urges that Uzi and Atlantic Records have access to his demos through label execs, creating a direct pipeline to his work. Rawyal is demanding damages, retroactive publishing credit, and ownership stakes.
