Nearly 20 years after first making headlines for disapproving of how she was portrayed in 2009’s ‘Notorious‘ – the biopic of fallen Rap icon Notorious B.I.G. (aka Biggie Smalls) – Lil Kim vows to set the record straight by releasing her own biographical film.
The latest guest on Nick Cannon‘s popular Web series ‘Big Drive,’ Kim (born Kimberly Jones) dished on everything from her enduring legacy to her influence over female Rap, impact on the fashion game, future plans, and more.
Among the latter is the Queen Bee’s plans to finally produce a biographical film told from her perspective to – in her words – right the “inaccurate” depiction of her tale in Biggie’s 2009 biopic.
“[‘Notorious’] was not accurate,” Jones shared with Cannon while cruising the streets of Las Vegas (as seen in the video above). “A lot of it was not accurate…I’m going to show everybody [what really happened between me and Biggie] in the Lil Kim movie because it’s coming.”
Promising the yet-titled film is “100% in the works,” Kim alluded to the production leaning more toward being a documentary.
The commentary comes as the latest vow from Jones to ensure her life story hits screens with quotes as recent as 2021 showing the GRAMMY winner confirm a movie is “absolutely” still coming and that she would love to see Teyana Taylor portray her if it develops into a scripted project.
It’s expected the film will follow her long-awaited ‘Queen Bee‘ memoir which – at writing – does not have an official publish date attached despite previously being announced to hit bookshelves in November 2025.
