The film is inspired by Rodman’s infamous mid-Finals trip to Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA Finals. It centers on the former Chicago Bulls star’s chaotic 48-hour stay in Sin City, promising a comedy-driven take that leans fully into the larger-than-life persona he embodied both on and off the court.

Majors was dropped from the project in January 2024 following his 2023 assault conviction. During the recasting process, Stanfield emerged as the top choice, with producers citing his range and ability to channel the chaotic energy and bold personality once associated with the ‘Simon Sez’ actor.

Directed by Rick Famuyiwa, the film is shaping up to be a bold, energetic take on one of the NBA’s most infamous off-court stories, and one that’s primed to be as wild as the legend itself.
