The rapper–singer, who just dropped his latest album ‘Free,’ has revealed that he’ll be stepping away from the spotlight for a while before delivering his next album.

Cudi shared the news with fans on social media, explaining that after years of back-to-back projects, tours, and ventures, he’s choosing to take some much-needed time off. While he didn’t specify how long the break will last, he made it clear that the next album will mark a new creative chapter.

He said:

“Fam!!! I just wanna say thank you to all my fans for supporting Free, spreading the word and sending love. I’m so grateful I have y’all in my corner. Free was my last album on a major label (which is part of the reason I called the album Free) and now I’m lookin forward to a new chapter and being independent. I’m so proud of this album and the reception it received.”

He continued:

“I think ima officially take a step back for awhile from droppin’ albums and focus on directing, more acting, painting, and fashion for sure.”
