Tamera Mowry-Housley is checking into Sacred Heart for a guest appearance in Season 2 of ABC‘s revived incarnation of ‘Scrubs.’

The seasoned actress and television host will play Dr. Steffie, a pediatrician hoping to recruit intern Sam Tosh into her specialty.

Ava Bunn returns as Tosh and has been promoted from recurring performer to series regular for the new season.

She joins original stars Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke, whose characters are now mentoring Sacred Heart’s latest group of doctors.

Mowry-Housley’s episode count and the larger circumstances surrounding Dr. Steffie’s visit have not been disclosed. Yet.

The revival launched in February, 16 years after the original series concluded, and reportedly attracted more than 11 million viewers across its first five days.

‘Scrubs’ returns with two episodes on September 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Episodes can be streamed the following day on both Hulu and Disney+.
