Taking to Instagram Stories, the ‘Love’ singer reposted a message reading:

“It’s peaceful when you’re not interested in anyone anymore.”

She added her own declaration:

“Currently cooking up the greatest rebrand of my life rn. Single. Happy. Focused.”

The announcement marks quite the turnaround.

After all, less than two weeks ago, Cole proudly showed off a photograph of Skrilla’s back bearing a large tattoo of her name, captioning it: “Let that be known.”

That display of affection came amid questions surrounding her Houston-area performances, with some observers expressing concern about both her live vocals and her romance.

Now, the 45-year-old is signalling a fresh start.

Cole hasn’t elaborated on what prompted her new relationship status, nor has she revealed what her promised “rebrand” entails.

One thing, however, is clear: she’s putting the focus firmly back on herself. ‘Trust & Believe,’ indeed.
