Katy Perry gave fans more than they bargained for at her ‘Lifetimes Tour’ stop in Adelaide, Australia, when her high-flying stunt turned into a high-stress spectacle!

Midway through the show, the Pop star was suspended above the crowd in a giant silver orb when the contraption unexpectedly tilted forward. Perry, ever the pro, held on for dear life using all her upper body strength to keep from being dumped out mid-air like a Pop piñata.

To make things worse, the music cut out and the lights dimmed as crew members rushed in to steady the situation. Fans were left gasping, unsure if it was part of the act or a full-blown malfunction.

Thankfully, the ‘Fireworks’ singer was helped to safety and is said to be doing just fine. But with Beyoncé’s stage car tilting just days ago, some are wondering – is there a diva in the sky curse this summer?

Perry may not have had reported ex-beau Orlando Bloom there to catch her, but she did have a stadium full of KatyCats below.
