The streamer’s legal team is demanding that Reggie Travers remove videos alleging misconduct by Cenat, as their dispute could end up in court.
Kai Cenat has sent a cease-and-desist letter to his former friend and streaming partner, Reggie Travers, demanding that he remove videos containing allegations against Cenat.
The cease-and-desist follows weeks of public accusations involving fellow streamer QuVonn “RaKai” Linder, which Cenat has denied. The legal action comes after Cenat threatened to sue Reggie earlier this month following a series of allegations involving RaKai.
The letter, dated Oct. 2 and obtained by TMZ, accuses Travers of spreading false and misleading statements about Cenat through online videos. His attorneys rejected allegations involving sexual misconduct and claims that Cenat exchanged sexual favors for opportunities on his platform.
The legal team described those accusations as categorically false and said Travers had failed to provide evidence supporting them. Cenat’s letter also alleges that Travers threatened him and people associated with him. His attorneys claimed the situation had frightened employees and disrupted business operations.
Cenat’s legal team demanded that Travers remove videos containing the disputed statements.
On Friday, Oct. 23, Travers showed what he claimed were court documents filed against him by Cenat. TMZ said the documents appeared to involve a petition for a temporary restraining order. The outlet did not establish whether a court had granted such an order.
Travers indicated that he was prepared to fight the matter in court.
The dispute began after Travers made allegations involving Linder, a 17-year-old streamer who previously collaborated with both creators as part of the Clover Boys.
Travers accused Cenat of grooming RaKai, prompting a public response from the popular streamer. Cenat challenged Travers to provide evidence to law enforcement and said he intended to pursue legal action.
RaKai also rejected the allegations, saying he had never been sexually abused or taken advantage of by friends or family members while growing up.
