The GRAMMY Award-winning singer recently tried something new: vlogging her New York Fashion Week experience from start to finish and giving fans a glimpse into her time in New York City.

However, one moment from the vlog has the internet talking.

As the ‘Here We Go’ singer posed for pictures, a racist heckler began shouting offensive remarks, repeatedly calling her a “Blackie” and saying, “You look so freaking Black.” Jones responded with grace, proudly embracing her identity.

Jones shared:

“I’m Black, and I’m proud.”

As of this writing, Jones has not publicly responded further to the racist remarks. However, she appears to be paying them no mind, continuing to enjoy her newlywed life and the release of new music despite the noise.
