J. Cole is closing a chapter and doing it on a grand scale with ‘The Fall-Off’ – his reported last album.

Split across two discs titled ‘Disc 29’ and ‘Disc 39,’ the 24-track effort stormed digital music shelves on Friday (February 6) to critical acclaim.

Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS):  280,000-300,000 units

Predicted Billboard 200 Debut:  #1

Unveiled in full just weeks after the delivery of its buzzy lead single ‘Disc 2 Track 2,’ ‘The Fall-Off’ is predicted to open to first-week sales north of 280,000.

That sum, according to industry analysts at HitsDailyDouble, highly suggest it will arrive at the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 next week.

Described as his potentially his final project, the album – his first since 2021’s ‘The Off-Season‘ – brings the journey from his debut mixtape (2007’s ‘The Come Up’) – full circle. Even the artwork is personal, featuring photos Cole shot as a teenager including a snapshot of his bedroom wall that now houses the track list.

If the prediction above comes true, it will be Cole’s seventh consecutive studio album to occupy the Billboard 200’s championship spot.
