The first look trailer for  ‘Wasteman’ has arrived.

Lionsgate‘s gritty British thriller has been generating seismic industry buzz after earning critical acclaim at its World Premiere at TIFF and its UK debut at the 69th BFI London Film Festival.

Led by David Jonsson, the film marks the directorial debut of Cal McMau and spotlights a tense, claustrophobic story driven by two powerful lead performances.

Jonsson stars Taylor, a man written off as a “wasteman” by society and even by those closest to him. His quiet plan to keep his head down and earn early release is thrown off course the moment his new cellmate, Dee, played by Tom Blyth, steps into the picture.

Raw and riveting, the film has already been tipped to serve as one of 2026’s must-see offerings.
