Ebro Darden is speaking out following the recent cancellation of ‘Ebro In The Morning,’ and his comments haven’t gone unnoticed.

During a conversation with Peter Rosenburg on the newly launched ‘The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show,’ the radio veteran appeared to take a pointed jab at Charlamagne Tha God while making it clear he has no interest in compromising his politics for a lucrative media deal.

“There were things that Charlamagne was willing to do that I would’ve never done. Never,  And, that’s how you get to those big bags. It’s the same with Stephen A. Smith. When Disney wants to give you money like that, you gotta do a dance I ain’t willing to do.”

Though Hot 97 has yet to publicly explain the show’s abrupt end, Darden suggested behind-the-scenes power plays were at work, claiming his outspoken views made him inconvenient for executives with bigger financial interests, he said:

“Bro’s a casino owner. You know the three licenses they got in NY for the casino? The guy that owns the sh*t owns one of the casino licenses.”

The situation quickly spilled onto social media, with Drake adding fuel to the fire by mocking Darden online and in private messages. Rosenberg later addressed Drake’s remarks on X, calling out the behavior while still offering well wishes. He wrote:

“It’s behavior like this that has made it impossible for people to defend the wack sh*t that he does … But happy Hanukkah my one time pal .. I truly wish you well even if you’re celebrating what you believe is our demise.”
