The ruling, handed down earlier this month, determined that Kendrick Lamar’s colossal diss record ‘Not Like Us’ was protected opinion amid the pair’s feud. The scathing track shattered streaming records, scooped Record of the Year at this year’s GRAMMYs, and stole the spotlight during the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

But Drizzy insists UMG went too far, accusing the label of deceptive tactics to boost the single’s reach. Though those claims were dismissed, his legal team is pressing forward seeking a Second Circuit review.

With filings now in motion, the case could stretch well into 2026.
