The Hip-Hop mogul, born Sean Combs, has had his federal prison release date adjusted, shaving weeks off his sentence as he continues to fight his conviction through the courts.
The shift comes amid his participation in a rehabilitation program and follows months of legal back-and-forth over his four-year term.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the 56-year-old’s projected release date has been moved from June 4, 2028, to April 25, 2028. The adjustment follows his acceptance into the Residential Drug Abuse Program in November, which can allow eligible inmates to reduce their time behind bars.
“Mr. Combs is an active participant in the Residential Drug Abuse Program and has taken his rehabilitation process seriously from the start. He is fully engaged in his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change.”
The Bad Boy founder is currently serving his sentence at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey.
The revised date arrives as his legal team continues to pursue an appeal filed in December, seeking either a reversal of his conviction or a reduced sentence. Prosecutors have opposed the request.
Diddy has been incarcerated since September 2024 following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges after a two-month trial.
