The Grammy, Oscar and Emmy Award winner joins a growing list of rappers who have considerable investments in wines, including Snoop Dogg, JAŸ-Z and E-40.

Add Common’s name to the list of musicians who are now dabbling in wines and spirits.

The Chicago native, who already has a Grammy, an Academy Award and an Emmy under his belt, is branching out with a new wine called Jefferey Park, named after a neighborhood park three miles from where Common grew up in the Windy City. The limited-edition wine arrives in partnership with Argentinian winemaker Karim Mussi and Gopuff.

According to Common, the wine contains “quality ingredients” and is “something that feels special without trying too hard.” The wine launches with a 2024 Pinot Noir, and prices vary depending on the online retailer customers choose. On Gopuff in select areas, a bottle is $19.99. On BevMo!, a bottle can run for $29.99 plus tax.

Fermented with yeasts native to Argentina, Jefferey Park was left to age for over a year in Argentina’s Valle de Uco and was made with 27-year-old clone 777 Pinot Noir vines, resulting in a wine that offers vibrant red-fruit notes and a refined structure.

“With Jefferey Park, I wanted to capture that feeling of togetherness that’s behind so many of my favorite memories growing up,” Common said in a statement. “Working with Mussi was a big part of that. We connected over a shared appreciation for doing things with intention, using quality ingredients, and making something that feels special without trying too hard. We took our time getting this Pinot Noir just right, and I’m really proud of what we created together.”

In a conversation with Men’s Journal, he expounded on his latest pivot and the reasoning behind making it affordable for everyone.

“It’s always about bringing something that’s joyful, that’s inspired, that’s fun, creative to the world,” he said. “And wine was something that, like I said, I enjoy my experiences with it. One of my favorite things to do is actually just go to dinner with my loved ones and drink good wine and eat good food. And I feel like I’m an advocate for bringing the experiences that I have and things that I’ve been exposed to to people.”

“My thing is creating access, making things accessible that are really high level. And with Gopuff being, you know, what they do, they could bring it to you easy and it’s every day. And we knew that the price point wouldn’t be so high. So, you know, the average person, hardworking person, can drink this wine and experience something that’s from a really high-level wine estate. That elegance.”
