Cardi B blazes the latest cover of Paper Magazine, opening up about her long-awaited sophomore album, her upcoming tour, motherhood, and the ongoing drama with the rap girls.

The ‘Magnet’ rapper admits she’s learned to embrace the chaos with her latest album, ‘Am I the Drama?,’ that comes with being one of the most talked-about women in hip-hop.

Cardi shared:

“There’s drama that I expected to come.

Because if I’m throwing shots at b*tches, I expect the drama to come from them. I’m not gonna act like, ‘Oh, it wasn’t gonna come,’ when I’m directly talking to you. I can’t be surprised that a b*tch is trying me, because I pull their cards.”

With tensions brewing between her and fellow rappers Nicki Minaj, JT, and BIA, Cardi doesn’t shy away from acknowledging her role in it all and even finds power in it.

She spilled:

“When people are just trying you, and you’re not even paying attention to them, you’re not even talking to them or about them, it’s like this is why I say that I am the drama. I even bother b*tches when I don’t even give them attention.”

Continuing, she added:

“This week I showed the world that I will get the most nasty about mine. I never had to get that nasty for my kids. But I did, and I really feel like a lioness. This has been one of the moments I got tested the most about being a parent. But it just goes to show me how strong I am, and it just goes to show me like, Damn, I will really take it to hell for mines: mentally, physically, anything. And I wouldn’t care.”

But beyond the headlines and the heat, Cardi’s focus remains sharp on her artistry and evolution:

“I think people really underestimate how smart I am, or how much input I have on everything that I do. I really am the chess piece to what I do. People don’t understand, like, ‘How the f*ck did she do this? How the f*ck did she do that?’ It’s just my mind.”

With her sophomore album taking over the charts and the industry watching her every move, one thing is certain: Cardi B isn’t just back, but she is embracing being the drama.
