Cardi B is opening up and letting it all out, getting very real about the ending of her relationship with ex-husband Offset.

In a candid chat on Jay Shetty’s ‘On Purpose’ podcast, Cardi peeled back a layer on the hardest phase of her marriage: when she realized it was over.

She described the heartbreak that followed months of tension. She told Shetty:

“I felt the love dying. From my end, from his end.”

Cardi also spoke on the struggle to let go and stop communication with her ex, which left her feeling very low. She confessed:

“I was crying everyday, I was hurt everyday .”

She recalls the time during her pregnancy with her third child, Blossom, as a motivation to salvage her marriage, she revealed:

“I told myself I’m pregnant, I’m going to accept my flaws, the flaws that I bring in this marriage. I’m going apologize for it and I’m gonna work on it.”

But it was not met with the response she had hoped for, which ended up being the final straw, she said:

“When I take accountability and you take advantage of me taking accountability and you take that as a “see I knew she’d be back” instead of me taking accountability, and you’re taking advantage of that, it really just killed everything.”

Now, a year on from her divorce, Cardi says she is:

“the strongest I have ever been.”

Cardi’s reflections served as a less of a confession and more like a powerful reclaiming; she’s no longer defined by that ending but by her strength to heal and move forward.

With her new album ‘Am I The Drama’ and her fourth child with Stefon Diggs on the way, Cardi has lots to look forward to.
