Taking to social media Wednesday (April 8), the R&B icon (born Brandy Norwood) trumpeted news her March 31-released autobiography ‘Phases’ had already soared to the top of the New York Times Best Sellers List (Non-Fiction).

“Truly unbelievable,” she started her message of gratitude via a post to her 6.1 million followers on Instagram. “My heart is so full. Writing this memoir meant facing some of my deepest truths, my earliest struggles, and the moments that shaped my growth. There were times it felt scary to share so openly, but it has also been one of the most healing experiences of my life. To see my story resonate with so many of you…. The wins are also reflected in the book’s commercial performance aboard e-booksellers like Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com (where she currently ranks #1 among entertainer biographies).
