Brandy and Pharrell Williams are about to have a major GRAMMY Week moment.

The two music heavyweights have been named 2026 honorees for the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective event, with the celebrations set to go down in Los Angeles ahead of Music’s Biggest Night.

Per GRAMMY.com, the Black Music Collective will host the fourth annual Recording Academy Honors at the Fairmont Century Plaza on January 29, 2026.

Pharrell is set to receive the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, spotlighting not just his hitmaking legacy but also his entrepreneurial and philanthropic influence.

Meanwhile, Brandy will be presented with the Black Music Icon Award, which recognizes creators whose artistry and service have helped shape the culture across generations.

Kirk Franklin is also being honored with the same award.

The ceremony lands just days before the 68th GRAMMY Awards on February 1 at Crypto.com Arena.

Speaking on the honor, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said

“Pharrell, Brandy and Kirk are true visionaries and masters of their craft. Their legacy that transcends genre and shapes culture.”
