Beyonce is the latest name to salute the late, great Diane Martel.
As reported, the revered music video director died this week at the age of 63 after a long and hard-fought battle with breast cancer.
A luminary in the industry, Martel has helmed visuals for some of the biggest superstars of all time – Queen Bey included.
For, she directed the ‘Listen’ and ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ videos.
In the wake of her passing, the Houston native has issued an emotional statement.

“Rest in peace, Diane Martel. You created on the highest and most provocative level. You challenged the norm and delivered visual symphonies. You will be greatly missed.”
Beyond her Beyonce collaboations, Martel’s broader videography includes Mariah Carey‘s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You,’ Miley Cyrus’ ‘We Can’t Stop,’ Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines,’ Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Genie in a Bottle,’ Ciara‘s ‘Promise,’ and Mya‘s ‘Case of the Ex.’
