Prime Video is reviving the ‘Barbershop’ universe with a fresh star-packed cast.

As reported, the hit film franchise is returning to screens as a TV series.

Roy Wood Jr., Punkie Johnson, Brett Gray, and E.J. Bonilla are set to join Jermaine Fowler in the upcoming comedy series inspired by the iconic MGM Films.

The show centers on Travis ‘Trav’ Porter, played by Fowler, who returns to Chicago hoping to honor his legendary grandfather’s legacy at Calvin’s. Wood Jr. steps in as Robert, an ex-con turned barber; Johnson plays the razor-sharp, skeptical Stella; Gray brings flair as the outspoken Kofi, and Bonilla appears as Fernan, a Bronx transplant who becomes Trav’s unlikely ally.

With original Barbershop co-writer Marshall Todd on board and Kevin Hart‘s Hartbeat producing, Prime Video looks ready to give the franchise a crisp new fade.
