Danity Kane may no longer be on ‘Making The Band’ anymore, but the drama continues to trail the beloved R&B-Pop ensemble two decades after they were formed.

Currently on their 20th anniversary trek, ‘The Untold Chapter Tour,’ the group’s latest live jaunt has been notable for its solid performances and the discourse surrounding its lineup.

No strangers to reunions, having first mounted a comeback in 2014, the returning members this go round are (for the first time) Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, and D. Woods. 

Original Dawn Richard made headlines when she revealed that she “didn’t know” about the reunion, claimed she was “iced out,” and again when she insisted that she loved the group and would always return if asked.

Now, an interesting development has DK loyalists buzzing.

At the New York show on December 19, O’Day publicly professed her love for Richard and Shannon Bex, the latter of whom opted to sit out the reunion after moving on to a new career path.

She said:

“I want to introduce my beautiful and talented sisters by my side, [Fimbres and D. Woods], but I first want to say: all the love in the world to the two band members who make up Danity Kane, Dawn and Shannon. We love them.”

Upon initially announcing the trek, the group’s official Instagram teased the notion of DK having an open-door policy in a comment to a fan.

Could a comeback be on the cards for Richard at some point? We sure hope so.

The current lineup is, for sure, doing their thing. But a big part of the “Danity Kane” appeal is the “main character energy” that EACH member brings. In some instances, less can be more, but with Danity Kane, more is most definitely…more. And welcome.
