According to a motion filed on April 2, the rapper, born Jeffery Williams, showed disregard for the law since his sentencing in the YSL RICO case. The file reads:

“Since sentencing, the Defendant has engaged in conduct that directly threatens the safety of witnesses and prosecutors, compromises ongoing legal proceedings, and warrants immediate revocation of probation.”

The drama centers around a now-deleted post Thug made on X, where he shared a photo of Atlanta Police Investigator Marissa Viverito, who’s currently testifying in a gang-related murder hearing. Alongside the image, Thug wrote:

“Biggest liar in the DA office.”

The judge had ordered Viverito not to be shown on camera, and soon after Thug’s post, her home address and her parents’ began circulating online, prompting death threats.

Per the motion:

“The State urges this Court to take swift and decisive action by revoking the Defendant’s probation and remanding them into custody with delay.”

Thug clapped back on X, saying:

“I don’t make treats to people I’m a good person… I’m all about peace and love.”

The court has yet to rule, but Thug’s freedom is hanging in the balance.

As widely reported, the MC served 900 days in jail before and during his RICO trial before copping a plea deal to secure his release.

UPDATE:

According to the Associated Press, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker ruled against sending Thug back behind bars. She said:

“While the Court does not find that the cited social media post rises to the level of a violation of Defendant’s probation, it may be prudent for Defendant to exercise restraint regarding certain topics.”
