Actor Wendell Pierce says he’s open to a ‘Fighting Temptations’ sequel, and he’s already got the storyline mapped out.

While on the carpet at the NAACP Image Awards, Pierce shared that he would love to revisit ‘The Fighting Temptations’ and see where the story could go next.

The 2003 film featured Beyoncé as Lilly alongside a stacked cast including Steve Harvey, Mike Epps, Faith Evans, and even a young Chloe Bailey.

He shared 

“I would love to do a sequel to Fighting Temptations and see that I have built a mega church,”

“I think a lot of people would be open to it.”

Pierce also reflected on special moments from the original set, including a memory of Beyoncé and the late Angie Stone sitting at the piano together, playing and singing ‘Amazing Grace.’

Now, with Queen Bey preparing to release Act III of her musical era, a sequel might have to wait. But safe to say if the opportunity presents itself, the choir just might assemble one more time.
