Speaking with BET about her relationship with Queen Bey and a recent run-in at a Cécred event, Monaleo gushed:

“I sure did (take a pic with her. It was a huge moment. Like, I’ve met Beyonce. I’ve worked with her before. So just reconnecting with her and, like, she worked with me very early on in my career, like, my first year of being a rapper. So to come back to her now, five years later, and be like, you know, ‘hey, girl.’ And she’s like, ‘I’m so proud of you.’ Like, she was beaming with this Houston pride, and I felt the camaraderie, and I felt the support from her. So it was meaningful to me a lot. Houston, Texas.”
