According to court documents, the rapper was held in contempt of court and fined $20,000 after refusing to answer questions during a jailhouse deposition connected to Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz.

The deposition is part of Megan’s claim that Gramz spread false and misleading narratives about the shooting incident and the 2022 trial, allegedly with Lanez’s financial backing.

The ‘luv’ singer reportedly shared that he didn’t care about the fine, stating:

“Whatever the fines are, I’ll pay them. I’m a millionaire. I don’t care.” 

As previously reported, a judge denied Lanez’s attempt to avoid testifying in the civil proceedings, so it appears that he will face more fines on the way if he continues not to cooperate.

Lanez, who is currently serving time for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, and with his latest appeal denied, the singer is expected to remain incarcerated until 2033.
