Lisa Bonet made a rare public appearance at Paris Fashion Week, drawing attention with waist-length silver hair as A Different World enjoys a new wave of interest.

Lisa Bonet stepped back into the public eye in Paris this week, drawing attention with a striking new look as the actress continues to maintain a relatively low profile away from Hollywood.

Bonet, 58, attended the Celine show during Paris Fashion Week with her waist-length silver hair worn loose, putting the dramatic change in her appearance at the center of attention. Her appearance was notable partly because she has made relatively few public outings in recent years.

HELLO! Magazine, which published images from the Paris appearance, highlighted how far Bonet’s hair has evolved from the darker locs and styles associated with some of her earlier red-carpet appearances. Visible gray has been part of her look for years, but the latest photographs show the silver extending through the length of her hair.

The outing also arrives at an interesting moment in Bonet’s television legacy. She became widely known as Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show before taking the character to Hillman College in “A Different World.” Bonet starred in the first season of the college sitcom before leaving, with the series subsequently developing a larger ensemble led by characters including Whitley Gilbert and Dwayne Wayne.

That history has gained fresh relevance following Netflix’s revival of A Different World. The new sequel series premiered Sept. 24 and follows Deborah Wayne, the daughter of Dwayne and Whitley, as she begins college at Hillman. Netflix has already renewed the series for a second season.

Bonet, however, has not been announced as part of the returning cast. Netflix’s current cast listings for the sequel include Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Darryl M. Bell and Cree Summer, but not Bonet.

Away from her early television success, Bonet has maintained a selective acting career that includes films such as Enemy of the State and High Fidelity. She is also the mother of Zoë Kravitz, whom she shares with former husband Lenny Kravitz, and Lola and Nakoa-Wolf, her children with Jason Momoa.

Bonet and Momoa, who announced their separation in 2022, reunited publicly in June to celebrate Lola’s high school graduation. Their divorce was finalized in 2024.

Her Paris appearance offers a rare glimpse of Bonet in the spotlight again, while renewed attention around A Different World has brought one of her defining television roles back into the conversation.
