Ray J was taken to a hospital Thursday after a medical emergency interrupted a livestream at Fab Factory, bringing his ongoing streaming marathon to an abrupt halt.

The incident happened while the singer and television personality was broadcasting live. According to TMZ, Ray J began experiencing health problems during the stream, prompting someone at the venue to call the fire department and an ambulance.

Footage from the livestream showed paramedics attending to Ray J while he was lying shirtless with medical equipment attached to his chest. His mother was also present during the broadcast as emergency responders prepared to transport him.

Sources described the medical issue as heart-related, but no specific diagnosis has been publicly announced. The outlet also reported that the emergency response was strictly medical and that there was no indication of anything suspicious surrounding the call.

The hospitalization occurred while Ray J has been undertaking “Rayhab,” a planned 180-day streaming subathon that has required him to spend extended periods on camera. TMZ reported that he had been staying awake for long stretches as the streaming project continued.

The latest incident adds to a year in which Ray J has had several encounters with medical care. He was hospitalized in January after experiencing heart pain and pneumonia, according to TMZ’s earlier reporting. In May, he was hospitalized again after his heart rate reportedly slowed following his fight with Supa Hot Fire in Las Vegas.

The incident leaves the status of his 180-day Rayhab stream unclear as he receives medical attention.
