The Grammy-winning singer responded to a fan’s plea on her finsta, promising a return this winter.

She has been active on her finsta recently, sharing snippets of unreleased music.

A fan commented:

“My year been hard, please say you’ll return this winter.”

SZA replied simply:

“Indeed, I shall.”

The reply sent fans into a frenzy.

SZA is known for taking her time between releases. Her debut album ‘CTRL’ dropped in 2017. Her sophomore album SOS followed five years later.

Her last long-form release was 2024’s ‘Lana,’ a deluxe edition of ‘SOS.’

She has stayed busy in the meantime. She performed at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show alongside Kendrick Lamar. She also co-headlined the ‘Grand National Tour’ with him.

This year, she has collaborated with Isaiah Rashad and Steve Lacy. Fans are eager for her third full-length album.

SZA has kept details about the album under wraps. However, she revealed her motivation in an interview with I-D. She said:

“I’m not up against the pop girls. I’m not up against the R&B girls. I’m up against anti-intellectualism and doing things easy. The type of blend of information my human experience provides, AI can’t even be prompted to f**k with.”

She is ready to push into “bizarre directions.”
