Black excellence is taking center stage once again. The Critics’ Choice Association has unveiled the star-studded lineup for its 8th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, honoring trailblazers who continue to redefine the industry.

Legendary filmmaker Spike Lee will receive the Career Achievement Award for his four-decade legacy of groundbreaking storytelling, while Ryan Coogler earns the Director Award for his record-breaking film ‘Sinners.’ Meanwhile, Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown and powerhouse actress Tessa Thompson are set to be honored for their standout performances in ‘Paradise’ and ‘Hedda,’ respectively.

Other notable honorees include Jurnee Smollett, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Damson Idris, and more. Hosted by Jay Pharoah, the event takes place on December 9 in Los Angeles and will air on Starz in early 2026.

Expect a night of culture, creativity, and celebration for the visionaries shaping the next era of Black storytelling.
