If you thought Jhene Aiko‘s domination of the charts this week stopped at the Billboard 200 #1 debut of her latest album ‘Westside Whimsy,’ you thought wrong.

The album’s Kendrick Lamar-assisted cut ‘So Good’ entered this week’s Hot 100 at #26, making it the week’s highest placement among previously uncharted songs.

Here are the numbers that powered its placement:

• Streaming ≈  7.5 million U.S.-based streams
• Sales ≈ 2,000 copies sold
• Radio Airplay ≈ 2.1 million audience impressions

The premiere of ‘Good’ in the Hot 100’s second quadrant marks the second-highest of her career following the #24 opening of 2020’s ‘B.S.‘ featuring HER.

Bolstered by handsome sales of 2,000 copies sold, ‘Good’ opened at #6 on the week’s Digital Song Sales tally – the highest of any new song and her best placement on the hitlist to date.

Faring even better on the R&B chart, the Jahaan Sweet-produced cut arrived at #5 on the week’s on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs  – coming as the first top 10 hit of her career as a lead artist on that ranking.

As if that’s not enough to celebrate, nine other ‘Whimsy’ tracks landed on the updated Hot 100 including the #41 premiere of the feature-less bop ‘He Belongs.’ That handsome opening marks the highest debut Aiko’s ever had unaccompanied on the all-genre chart.
