Smokey Robinson is pushing back hard after attorneys for his accusers asked a judge to intervene in the pair’s ongoing legal fight.

The Motown icon’s legal team is accusing the plaintiffs of trying to generate headlines and damage his career, with the latest clash arriving as the singer recently announced new tour dates.

In a statement to TMZ, Robinson’s attorney Christopher Frost said he was not surprised by the latest filing, claiming the plaintiffs are trying to “get more media attention” and recycle what he called false allegations at strategic moments.

“That will not happen no matter how desperate Plaintiffs’ tactics become,” Frost said, while also accusing the other side of obstruction and saying their motions are simply a routine part of litigation.

The response came after attorney John Harris, who represents several of Robinson’s accusers, said his team filed motions to compel further discovery, alleging delays and incomplete responses from Robinson and his wife, Frances.

The singer has denied all allegations. As of now, the legal battle remains ongoing.
