Simone Biles says three masked men stole her Porsche in Chicago home burglary

The gymnast revealed the incident while sharing plans to shop for another vehicle.

Simone Biles has revealed that three masked men stole her Porsche GTS during a break-in at the Chicago home she shared with husband Jonathan Owens.

The Olympic gymnastics champion disclosed the incident while filming a TikTok video Monday as she prepared to shop for another vehicle. Biles said the theft happened during the couple’s final months in Chicago, when Owens was playing for the Chicago Bears.

“I feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole our Porsche,” Biles said.

Biles later clarified the vehicle had been recovered, but she was still planning to replace it. She captioned the social media post, “yes we recovered the car, onto the next.”

The 29-year-old did not provide a specific date for the incident or explain exactly how the men entered the property. NBC Chicago also noted that details surrounding the theft, including its precise timing and location, remain unclear.

Biles suggested she may eventually share more about what happened. While discussing the incident, she joked that her life could easily become a reality television show because of the unusual situations she keeps finding herself in.

The robbery also appears to have influenced a decision the couple made about home security. Biles said she and Owens got a Doberman, adding that the theft was “one of the reasons” behind bringing the dog into their household.

The incident happened before Owens left Chicago for the Indianapolis Colts. He signed with Indianapolis after his season with the Bears, while Biles has continued to split her time between supporting his NFL career and maintaining the couple’s life away from football.

The stolen Porsche is not the first unsettling incident the couple has faced this year. Owens previously said someone attempted to take his shopping bag while he was in Milan during the Winter Olympics.

Biles has also had a difficult stretch personally. In June, she revealed that she had experienced a medical emergency that she described as one of the scariest experiences of her life, although she did not disclose the specific medical condition. She later returned to the hospital for a procedure.

Despite the string of unexpected events, Biles is keeping her latest ordeal relatively lighthearted. The Porsche has been recovered, but she is moving ahead with plans for a new car and leaving the fuller story of the break-in for another time.
